We need to tidy up around the hangars and airfield in general.
Firstly we need a clean up so the airfield presents well for the upcoming wine show Hangout at the Hangar.
Secondly a good spring clean for our own ease of use and enjoyment of the facilities.
There are a number of jobs to keep us busy, including some roof repairs to both the long hangar and the main hangar:
A good sweep out and rubbish removal from the long hangar.
The windsock on the hill needs to be replaced.
There are plenty of weeds to hit with the whipper snipper and if weather permits spray with poison. There is a small plumbing job to fix the water pump in the long hangar.
There is always mowing to be done and we now have a roller to drag up and down the runways to attempt to smooth them out. The rolling of the runways is a long-term project and will require an effort from us all to try to improve all the runways at Strathalbyn.
