From Sport Aircraft Club SA....
Friday and Saturday 10th and 11th April – fly in and visit Eleanor Downs Station, Kangaroo Island
We have a number of aircraft scheduled to visit Eleanor Downs Airstrip on Friday. Details are as follows:
• Plan to arrive at 1100 on Friday. Grass strips North/South (950m) and East/West (650m). GPS Position 35°53.6' S 137° 15.7' E. Slopes down to the South.
• Owners Nathan and Olivia Trethewey will meet us and tell us where to picket the aircraft. They will then drive us to the house and shearing shed.....about 5 minutes.
• Accommodation options remaining are camping in the hangar or shearing shed
• We will BBQ on Saturday night in the Shearing Shed. Please BYO special dietary requirements. KI wine available for purchase plus Eleanor Downs beer. Olivia will have the Square card reader at the BBQ so we can pay there for accom etc.
• Card and cash OK.
• Car hire (7 seater) available for $80 per day.
• Coffee and tea + small milk provided. BYO breakfast food.
Some fuel will be available at the hangar.
